Conditions for recognition of the validity of the hospital for training of jurisdiction of the Council

 1. The hospital is educational and government, it contains at least the following sections:

     - Department of Internal Medicine

     - General Surgery

     - Department of Pediatrics

     - Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

2.The number of the hospital beds not less than 200 beds.

3. Be taken into account the availability of sub-disciplines.

4.The hospital has developed a section of the various branches laboratory medicine (clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, Jerthomyat, blood bank, pathology).

5.The hospital has developed a section of the rays.

6. It contains outpatient clinics.

7.The hospital receives emergency cases by ambulance.

8.All departments of the hospital has scientific sessions, an average of three sessions per week at least include: - Clinical Meeting. - Seminar on magazines. - Clinical Grand Rounds. - Madarsat clinical laboratory. - Lectures specialist. - In addition to daily tours in the suites and lounges.

9. There is a  library contains references to medical journals and modern.

10.The hospital has a sophisticated system of counting and classification and record keeping.

11.The hospital contains intensive care unit.

12. There are rooms suitable for teaching and lectures.

13. In each section there is a number of specialists work shifts equivalent to two full-time specialists full-time (each unit has thirty beds).

14. That two of the specialists mentioned carrying qualification to teach in universities, and those with previous experience in university teaching and scientific research.

15. To be in the hospital, a nursing administrator and a good level.

16. May not exceed the number of trainees over the past four to four trainees per ten beds, or the rate of acceptance of trainees and one for every ten beds for each year of training.

 

Program Director in training centers :

1.He must have the ability to evaluate, promote all measures and interests in residents Education for better performance.
2.His academic leadership must orient the learning residents to become competent and independent physicians able to give, after graduation, the best care for patients.
3.He has the mandate to promote, administer and supervise the training program with high vigilance, honesty and loyalty leading to satisfy the Arab Board recommendations in a medical specialty.
4.Help the residents to be eligible for the Arab Board certification.
5.He must be genuine to enrich his program with educational tools and activities in the objective to optimize the experience of residency trainees always in confronting international standards related to his specialties.
6.Seek students who are committed to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
7. He must be able to lead his staff toward a compassionate, respectful and evidence-based patient-centered care in a variety of academic and community settings.
8.He must be genuine to know each selected resident on a personal level allowing person's training pathway to be of utmost benefit and success.
9.He must be able to develop interest to open collaboration with international Department directors to find openings and fellowship positions for his selected candidates always in the interest of the strategic vision and enrichment of his department.
10.Commute primary clinical trainee's sites with solid grounding in community hospital settings [per Ox. One month of experience in community hospital)
11.Supervise and promote research, seminars and workshops in favor of the resident's competencies and specialty teaching progress.
12.Promote social and family activities to provide balance in the personality rising of the trainees and help them to customize experience in order to meet their career goals.
13.A Program Director must enjoy a generous and a vigorous character.
14.Understands the various components of the Arab Board Training Programs.
15.Plan and implements the learning experiences and methods of learning.
16.Assures and oversees the clinical training of residents and the running of educational activities.
17.Engages faculties in the 'management of all aspects; administrative, educational, training and resident evaluation.
18.Participates in educational activities of the program, research and continual professional development.
19.Plans the rotations of residents and their team-working with all program faculties to ensure practical contact with the various expertises.
20.Manages the timetables of clinical work of residents with regard to outpatient, impatient, emergency calls and on-calls duties.
21.Maintains the timetables of daily working hours, annual vacation plan of the residents.
22.Distributes opportunities of the off-the job training and education i.e. conferences and courses, among residents.
23.Supervises and monitor the performance of residents and identify knowledge and practical gaps and suggest to the residents corrective activities.
24.Supervises the maintaining and accuracy of the Resident's professional and educational record book.
25.Approves the subject of resident's research project, designates a supervisor for the project, flows-up the execution of the project, approves the submission of the dissertation to the training  committee and follows-up the publication of summary and full article of the dissertation in the Journal of the Arab Board of Health Specializations and other Journals.
26.Designates and defines the duties of the chief resident taking in consideration the training and educational priorities of the chief resident.
27.Delegates the duties of program director to an acting program director in periods of time off - work.
28.Assures the safe keeping of all documents.
29.Conducts regular meetings with the residents to address their concerns and suggestions.
30.Suggests to the training committee the establishment of new subspecialty programs.
